Sausage & PeppersPrepare spaghetti per instructions. While doing so, begin the sausage. Using a large skillet with a tight-sealing lid, heat olive oil with seasonings. Add water slowly, peppers and onions, then place sausages on top. Cover and allow to heat 5 minutes. Stir and heat an additional 15 minutes, stirring occationally. Be sure to watch the sausages; do not allow them to burn - they should brown all around. While sausages are cooking, warm sauce in microwave-safe dish on HIGH for 1 minute; stir and continue until desired temperature.
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 8oz. package spaghetti
- 1 large onion, cut in half across, then into eighths
- 1 large green pepper, cut thinly longways
- 1tb. olive oil
- ÷ cup water
- 5-8 Italian sausage links
- Season to taste with basil, oregano, fresh, pressed garlic
- Parmesen cheese (if desired)
When everything is cooked, serve in the following fashion, each in its own decorative dish:
- pasta
- sauteed vegetables
- sausage
- sauce
- parmesan cheese
