Apple Cobbler- 6-8 large Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced
- 1½ cups sifted flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 sticks softened butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 tb. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375ºF.Combine butter, brown sugar and flour.This mixture should become "crumbly".If not, simply add Ö cup more flour at a time until it does.Set aside.In a bowl, stir (white) sugar, flour, cinnamon and juice well.If this seems too watery for you, add Ö cup more flour at a time and stir until desired consistency.Pour half into a large baking pan.Line apples in pan until it covers the bottom.If your pan is very large, you can always add more apples!Pour mixture over apples.Cover with crumbly mixture.Bake 20-30 minutes, or until top and sides are brown (not black of course).Allow to cool at least 30 minutes before serving.Serve using a spatula on pie plates topped with vanilla ice cream.
