Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
And the band played on!
As you can see, Ryan was watching quite intently as the musicians played, and it looks like he made a little friend as well!

A volunteer giving instruction on why it's the Winter SolsticeEveryone who attended told me what a wonderful time they had! It was cool outside, but no one really seemed to mind - there were indoor as well as outdoor activities to keep everyone happy!
There was a really great brass quintet orchestra performing seasonal music, yummy chestnuts roasted over an open fire, a winding woodland trail lit by luminaries and folks could even make edible ornaments for the creatures who inhabit the grounds.
